Foldera Information Now Available
February 28, 2007
Thanks to Marc over at Foldera for the heads up. The Foldera blog is now updated. I haven’t read the post yet have to run to some meetings but if you read and have some thoughts would love to hear them.
Foldera…Done for now.
February 22, 2007
I posted almost two weeks ago that Foldera information was coming soon. I got this information from Foldera directly and had since my original post been keeping a positive outlook. Here it is almost two weeks later now and nothing. No updates on the blog still. The best I can do is to tell you that the email I received noted a “…Public Preview release….” in March. Which means that it is not fully launching in March only a ‘Preview’ is launching in March, I’m not sure what that means exactly, but I’m sure it doesn’t mean “Foldera Launches in March”.
I’ve been trying to stay on this because I know many of you visit looking for this information. Anyway, I can’t be bothered talking about this any more. No more posts on Foldera until such time as a viable product is actually launched. I’m Done for now.
Finally, just to make sure to repeat the disclosure, I work for what might be considered a Foldera competitor, if Foldera actually had a product that is.
Foldera Information Coming Soon!
February 12, 2007
You should expect to see some posts on the Foldera blog starting this week or next, that provide some glimpses of the product and maybe some insight into the release plan. I know this is of interest to many of our readers and encouraging for investors.
I’m still skeptical about the “Beta” as I remain unable to locate a Beta user who is not a Foldera employee. Active Beta users would be a great measure of progress toward an actual product release.
Foldera Update
January 31, 2007
Just for the record, it wasn’t an accusation, it was a question; this is in response to a comment posted about my Foldera ‘Vaporware’ post. The guys at Foldera assure us they are working on it, so we’ll wait and see. In the meantime:
1) The stockholders shouldn’t be getting their updates on company progress from my blog - although I appreciate the traffic - they should be getting it from the Foldera Blog but there hasn’t been a new post there in almost two months.
2) I’m still waiting for my beta account.
Slowing Down for the Holiday
December 22, 2006
Well we’ve reached the bottom of the PR trough with the holiday coming next week. The blogs are slowing down, the only press releases that come out will be the ones they don’t want you to read. Alternatively, who will want to make the first splash of the new year? Who will have the first press release of the year? Zimbra, Zoho, Foldera? I’ll provide what link bait I can for whomever’s first. Just don’t tell Google, otherwise I might have to add a ‘NoFollow’ tag….
Here are a few other things I’d like to see in 07:
A comprehensive chart of who offers what in terms of applications for business; email, ’word’ documents, spreadsheets, powerpoint, project planning, etc. Any volunteers? You should be able to get a lot of links for something thorough.
Will storage size stop being used as a product differentiator in 2007? Can someone please do a survey for us and let us know if customers really see this as a key factor?
How many new products will Zoho launch in 07? Raju or Arvind, is there a Zoho Mail coming?
Do those ratios in Nichebot really work? (Keyword campaign in progress.)
Foldera Launch….. Still skeptical Oliver & Dave…. you can send my beta login to catchyaintit [at] yahoo.com
Who will have a mash up for Goowy first?
Which conference, related to our topics here, is THE one to go to for 2007?
Will the expanded features of products like Zimbra, HyperOffice and others begin to make a serious dent into the Hosted Exchange market?
What do you think will be interesting with everyone in 2007, basecamp, bluetie, everyone.net, foldera, fusemail, hyperoffice, intermedia.net, load.com, mailsnare, mailstreet, MI8, myoffice.net, norada, runbox, scalix, sherweb, simplicato, solodox, swishmail, thinkfree, usa.net, webmail.us, zimbra, zoho…
What else needs to be covered?
Our visitor stats are growing pretty strong so please help tell your story, provide some thought leadership and expand the dialogue to keep people coming back. We can all benefit from more content, more links and more exposure.
Is Foldera Vaporware?
December 13, 2006
Is anyone using Foldera? Several of us entered our email addresses for the Beta a very, very, very long time ago and none have received an invite yet. Techcrunch reported they were in private Beta back in February, that was 10 months ago. It seems like this product has been in development for ever. Also noted back in February in his blog by Foldera’s own “Senior Vice President of Business Development as well as the Chief Mobility Officer and Corporate Blogger for the Foldera Corporation” - ”I’d also mention that Foldera has been in development for over four years. ” Uh did he just say, in development for four years? And that was back in February, so now it’s been in development for five years? Are you a Foldera stock holder? Any idea when your company will actually release a product?
